Agency Work
I have spent 8 years working for agencies and on their clients' web solutions. This work has mostly focused on custom WordPress and Drupal themes, but has evolved into building static sites, REST APIs, micro-services, and continuous integration tools.
My work at REQ was predominantly front-end focused, with an emphasis on building custom themes, plugins, and modules using HTML, PHP, SCSS, and JavaScript. I collaborated with our account managers, designers, SEO, and analytics teams to create and maintain beautiful and functional websites for clients across various industries. My role encompasses the entire web development process, from assisting in building functional requirements and timelines to updating DNS and (git) pushing code to production. I was responsible for maintaining multiple websites (20+) and regularly communicated with clients and third-party vendors to fix bugs, implement updates, and write documentation.
I now work at Reingold where I hold a similar role in terms of building and maintaining custom Wordpress and Drupal sites, with an emphasis on back end. I work primarily on government contracts, and currently hold Secret and Public Trust clearances. Additionally, I help with development planning, building CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, writing documentation, and mentoring junior coworkers.
